Soler aka my dad had a show last month at Blanc Gallery (Katipunan Extension / White Plains) along with two other artists.
This first one was Felix Bacolor’s OR
Red whatevers was continuously flowing down the pierced heart. To the dismay of the owners of pristine white shoes.
The whole night we were wondering if that was solid material made to look like a spill or a real one. Later that night, a red line made by a shoe that came too close answered our question.
The other room was occupied by the works of Gino Bueza. They were held together by door hinges.
The last and biggest room was my dad’s. His show was called Remnants.
Im happy that my dad is embracing his new freedom to experiment and not concentrate on selling.
All the shows were amazing!
Before heading home, we stopped by a small gallery in Teacher’s Village called 20 Maginhawa. There was also an opening of David Grigg’s Recovery.
