Today’s Daily is from 17 March 2015 : my first time in Hong Kong’s Star Ferry.
Star Ferry is THE BEST because 1.) it’s hella cheap compared to the MTR. 2.) You don’t feel the hustle and bustle of HK as compared again to the MTR. 3.) Legit fresh air.
Finding it was a total accident which made it more fun. I felt like one of those people who travel with no plans and destiny takes them to those wonderful obscure treasures.
My family is the total opposite. Since we are five, planning is sort of essential to avoid wasting time and sour faces when we get lost.
Since I’m a sucker for those third wave coffee shit, I had a list of coffee musts in HK and UNAR coffee was one of it.
Of course we got lost.
And when we finally found it, of course there were no seats. It was not because it was full. Actually we were the only ones there. I think the big trade off with these new, hippy places is that you never know what awaits you. (plus some don’t have sugar-y treats. eek!)
SO, YES TO COFFEE CHAINS. I WILL FOREVER HEART YOU. but sometimes I would like to try some other over priced coffee.
There were benches — good thing cause we were tired from a day of walking around (and getting lost).
My dad and I walked around and the price convinced my dad that we are going to ride the ferry. We needed to go back to Central.
So, we were at the side that is not Central.
After about 10 mins, voila! Central!
